everyday people die, but have you ever wondered why you are spared?
That bomb in the middle east could have gone off at your house.
That cyclone in Burma could have hit your coastal shores.
That serial killer/rapist/whatever else horrible and unthinkable thing could’ve stalked and killed YOU on your way home from work, and not that young girl in some southern state in the middle of nowhere.
It’s random, but you somehow escaped chance’s talons. Do you ever wonder why?
And whether, tomorrow, your “lucky streak” will run out?
Why has fate spared you?
Why does it continue to do so?
Great question to ponder! It is, however, truly impossible to answer correctly, so here are a few theories of mine.
The first one is simple, and doesn’t require much thought. In fact, I just asked my step daughter what she thought (she’s eight) We agree that it just isn’t our time yet, but one day it will be.
Secondly, in my opinion, it may be possible I did something today to keep me from “running” into my death. Something as simple as getting that third cup of coffee this morning, and not leaving my house at the normal time.
Or, perhaps, it has to do with a “supreme entity” keeping records of everything by controlling the seemingly random acts of everyone in the world. In this scenario, a series of things would have to coincide with each other thing.
Maybe it is because someone in my network of family or friends needs me to stick around, and their will is what is keeping me here.
What if all these theories of mine are incorrect (which they probably are) and the last thing I do is answer this question? If so I hope to find the true answer to your question. To bad I wouldn’t be able to share it with you. Unfortunately, in my opinion, that is the only way any of us will know the correct answer to your question.
Awesome thought though! Kudos to you friend!
