How nice was it to see the Orioles come back the way they did against the Red Sox & Papelbon tonight?
Congrats to the O’s for their comeback victory tonight against the Red Sox. And anyone surprised that Johan Santana was beat by a Brewers Rookie Pitcher who made only his 2nd start of his career? That kid must be in 7th heaven right now beating a Pitcher as good as Santana in only his 2nd Major League Start. Congrats to Mike Burns on his accomplishment.
It was nice to see a team like the O’s come back from a 9 run deficit to win the game. What a stunner, and an uplifting moment for the struggling team!
And the Brewers, that was amazing. I had no idea what to expect from Mike tonight. 2 of our other starters are injured (Dave Bush) or back to the minors (Manny Parra). It’s very exciting to see this guy come in and do the phenomenal job he did against a Cy Young winner in Santana. I saw him interviewed and the moment didn’t escape him at all. He’s very happy with the win and the hitting the Crew was able to do to help get him his first win in the Majors. Interesting to note, he only walked one batter.
