Preseason San

Preseason San
Lets compare first (non-preseason) games (NFL)?

I’ll show you my picks for NFL’s first week of the official season, and you may show your’s. Saturday, a ^ is placed next to my picks,( New Orleans @ ^Indianapolis) Sunday, (Atlanta @^Minnesota) (^Carolina @St. Louis) (^Denver @Buffalo)(^Kansas City @Houston)(Miami@ ^Washington)(^New England@ New York Jets) (^Philadelphia@ Green Bay)(Pittsburg @^ Cleveland)(^Tennessee @ Jacksonville)( Chicago@ ^San Diego) (Detroit @ ^Oakland) (Tampa Bay @ ^Seattle) (NY Giants @ ^Dallas) for Monday (^Baltimore @ Cinncinnati)and( Arizona@ ^San Francisco) Let me know your opinion and feel free to show your picks.

Since I have your permission, :-) , I WILL feel VERY FREE to give you my humble opinion.
Some of them will be against your picks probably for the very same reason you picked the team to win.

Judging by ‘06-’07 and ‘07-’08 schedules; this seasons draft and other transactions; team news and the players they already have from seasons past; I give you my picks and why for opening weekend.

( New Orleans @ ^Indianapolis) – I agree. Colts D will shock and amaze…AGAIN!
(Atlanta @^Minnesota) – I agreed at first because of Adrian Peterson but I think that Atlanta’s D will be ready for anything that the Vikings can bring and with all the crap that Vick is putting his fans thru, I believe that HE feels that he owes them a come out of the gate victory and will carry the team to victory like he’s supPOSED to. Expect a big passing game from Vick this year.
(^Carolina @St. Louis) – disagree. Carolina is a dying cat; Rams are still playoff caliber.
(^Denver @Buffalo) – disagree; Buffalo will surprise Denver D with their passing game.
(^Kansas City @Houston) – this is ‘pick-em’, i.e. a toss up. It’ll go down to the wire with either a come from behind win or a hold on and win victory.
(Miami@ ^Washington) – disagree; I don’t think Washington will get to Trent Green and the passing game will beat them.
(^New England@ New York Jets) – disagree; only because I’m hoping the Jets will catch NE full of themselves and burst the bubble. Also, the Jets ARE a pretty good team.
(^Philadelphia@ Green Bay) – disagree; desperate times in GB; Farve will find a way.
(Pittsburg @^ Cleveland) – I wholehearted disagree on this one, especially if Quinn starts. Bens and Steeler’s D egos won’t let him lose to Quinn
(^Tennessee @ Jacksonville) – everyone underestimates Jaquars D. So will Vince and they’ll beat him up. All of you that believe in that curse that I hear you so many of you speak, this game could be the one that causes it to come true,
( Chicago@ ^San Diego) – this game could be what I call the upset special with Chicago coming out on top. New changes in coaching and play calling could mess up Rivers and that tit for tat offense.
(Detroit @ ^Oakland) – they both match up fairly well on D with a slight edge going to Oakland BUT I’ll pick the young receiver to have more impact than the young QB.
(Tampa Bay @ ^Seattle) – Tampa will surprise with D.
(NY Giants @ ^Dallas) – Dallas at home then when they meet again, the Giants at home.
(^Baltimore @ Cinncinnati) – Mr. Excitement, Carson Palmer will find a way to win it.
( Arizona@ ^San Francisco) – two up and coming QBs. Both have excellent WRs, RBs and TEs.
OH BOY!
THIS(!) is gonna be the game to Watch.
I like Sir Alex Smith more than Leinart.
I think 49ers D will cause more problems for Leinart than Cardinals will cause Smith.
49ers in a close one.
Judging from last years finishes and this years schedule + what I’ve learned so far of both teams, I believe both teams are gonna have a winning season this year, (‘07-’08) with a STRONG possibility of them finishing 1 and 2 in their division.
Looking at both teams schedule, they both could definitely go 9-7 possibly 10-6 with one having a couple of “surprise” wins”, I believe that one of them will finish 11-5.
My choice – San Fran.
Seattle and St. Louis are basically finished as SB contenders. They’re both basically trying to keep it together enough to make the playoffs.
That’s where AZ and SF come in. They’re both poised to become the division leaders.

Remember my picks so you can either gloat or cry come Tuesday 9/11 if Bush and the Taliban don’t blow up the world.
God, please save us from these madmen?
