How amazing is it that the Cleveland Indians sold 20k tickets playing their “home” game in Milwaukee?
Is this good for baseball? Tickets were only $10, but selling out half of a random stadium is just insane to me. Are people supporting the Indians because of the current sitsuation?
Reva P, I do not see anything there that says that season tickets bought in Cleveland were added to the Milwaukee totals. From my understanding, almost 20k $10 were sold at the stadium that day. Looking at the stadium (holds 42k), it was at least half full.
Part of it is the novelty of it and part of it is the cost. For only 10$, you can go watch two good teams play, teams you would only get a chance to see during inter-league play, teams that are not your home team. Great deal. Great for baseball. I thought the turnout would be fair, but not nearly 20k, considering it is the middle of the week.
